When I first picked up a camera, I was drawn to sports, and it is still a part of me. I am currently a junior studying sports media and communications at UNL, and love taking pictures of the Huskers! This past summer I was an intern for the Lincoln Saltdogs baseball team as a social media content creating role and photographer and had the best time. I truly never thought lifestyle photography would ever be in the cards for me. It wasn't until I had a mom that I babysit for ask me to "try" to take family pictures. "I don't need anything amazing, just one picture where everyone is smiling and looking at the camera." So, I walked into that session with one goal, get that perfect picture of everyone looking at the camera. That session sparked something in me. When I went home to edit, I found myself gravitating to the pictures where no one was looking at the camera. The ones that told a story, the ones that everyone was truly laughing in. Even though my instagram page was souly sports photography, something in me told me to post the pictures that I had fallen in love with, but still, not thinking anything would come of it. Within a couple days I was getting DMs and text messages to book and quickly put together a makeshift website. But then I outgrew my website much faster than I expected. I was overwhelmed with the support and quite frankly, felt undeserving. I am incredibly thankful for all of the love and support from everyone and I wouldn't be here without it. However, as I navigate this still so new chapter of my life while still attending college, your patience is more than appreciated and I can't wait to continue to grow my craft.
